Role description
Our client, a large systems integrator, is looking to hire a REXX Developer for a 6-month remote contract with a strong likelihood of extension. The consultant will be expected to be familiar with Broadcom opsmvs rules and knowledge of the zos, DB2 and SQL. The consultant will be responsible for writing scripts, automating systems operations, and manipulating data, as well as creating custom interfaces.
Required Skills
• 5-10 years experience in IBM storage technologies: IBM DS8K and IBMVTS
• Data and capacity management: DFSMS, including data, storage and mgmt class.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: DFDSS, FDR, and replication technologies
• Capacity Planning: Monitor storage utilization, forecast requirements, Vantage FDR etc.
• Automation: Understanding of programming on zOS, including REXX.
• Incident Response: Troubleshoot storage-related issues and perform root cause analysis
