Job Title: Business Analyst - Risk Management & Governance Work Location: Newark, DE 19713 Duration: 6 Months Contract (Potential to extension or Conversion) Pay rate: $38/hr. - $40/hr. M-F 8am - 5pm Job Summary The Business Analyst – Risk Management & Governance supports the governance process for risk management reports and user tools. This role works closely with Risk Management and Technical teams to ensure data accuracy, policy compliance, and effective report governance. The analyst will lead governance activities, perform testing and validation, and support ongoing operational and project-based initiatives. Key Responsibilities β€’ Support report and user tool governance, including Excel files, Access databases, and other reporting tools. β€’ Review and approve metadata changes for reports and user tools to ensure data accuracy and compliance. β€’ Lead and facilitate report governance calls, including preparing agendas, reviewing new and decommissioned reports, and distributing meeting minutes. β€’ Perform governance control validations to ensure adherence to risk management policies and procedures. β€’ Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and testing activities for new or updated reports and tools. β€’ Perform ad hoc analysis and research in support of risk management initiatives. β€’ Lead and execute special projects end-to-end, assembling working groups and coordinating deliverables. β€’ Onboard new reports and ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation. β€’ Collaborate daily with Risk Management and Technical teams to support BAU operations. Daily Activities β€’ Approving metadata changes β€’ Testing and validation activities β€’ Ad hoc analysis and reporting β€’ Internal stakeholder meetings β€’ Managing 10–20 requests per day (volume varies) Required Skills & Qualifications β€’ Strong experience in BAU (Business-As-Usual) roles involving procedures, reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis. β€’ Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs (required). β€’ Experience with reporting, reconciliation, and data validation. β€’ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with risk-related reporting. β€’ Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and risk management teams. β€’ Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 3–6 years of relevant experience. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills β€’ Familiarity with Tableau and Alteryx (not required, but preferred). β€’ Experience working with Access databases and reporting tools. β€’ Exposure to governance, risk management, or compliance environments.
