RPA Business Analyst (Onsite Contract Role) Location: Cupertino, CA (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Duration: Long-term About the Role Thunderhawk Technology Partners is seeking an experienced RPA Business Analyst to support a large-scale enterprise automation program for one of our Fortune 100 clients. This is a highly visible onsite role working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and process owners to drive end-to-end automation delivery. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering • Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to understand current manual processes and identify automation opportunities. • Conduct detailed process assessments, feasibility analysis, and document AS-IS / TO-BE workflows. • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement sessions with stakeholders. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirement documents (BRD), functional requirement documents (FRD), and process design documents (PDD). RPA Solution Design Support • Translate business requirements into detailed specifications for RPA developers. • Work with solution architects to assist in designing scalable, efficient automation solutions. • Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation throughout the automation lifecycle. Project & Delivery Management • Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and development teams. • Track delivery milestones, manage backlog items, and support Agile ceremonies. • Coordinate UAT planning, execution, and sign-off with business teams. • Support production deployment and post-implementation validation. Process Optimization & Governance • Identify process improvement opportunities beyond automation (standardization, elimination, consolidation). • Support automation governance, compliance, and documentation standards. • Contribute to automation pipeline development and value tracking. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with 2+ years focused on RPA initiatives. • Strong understanding of RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism (no tool-specific certification required, but a plus). • Experience documenting business processes using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar. • Ability to create detailed BRDs, FRDs, PDDs, and other automation artifacts. • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and automation delivery lifecycles. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience working in large enterprise environments with complex process ecosystems. • RPA certification(s) such as UiPath Business Analyst, Automation Anywhere Analyst, etc. • Experience supporting multiple automation projects simultaneously. • Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and basic technical concepts.
