Rust Engineer

We’re working with a growing tech company that’s looking for an experienced Rust Engineer to join their team on a six-month contract. This role is fully remote within the US and offers the chance to work on interesting, performance-driven systems with a talented group of engineers. The role You’ll be building and maintaining backend services written in Rust, helping to design scalable systems, and improving performance and reliability across the stack. The team values clean, maintainable code and a collaborative approach to problem solving. Responsibilities • Develop and support backend components and distributed systems in Rust • Work with product and architecture teams to design and deliver new features • Improve performance, stability, and scalability of existing services • Take part in code reviews and contribute to team best practices What we’re looking for • Solid experience coding in Rust in a professional environment • Good understanding of systems programming and concurrency • Comfortable working in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure • Experience with APIs and microservice architectures • Nice to have: background in C/C++, Go, or distributed systems Details • Duration: 6-month contract (potential to extend) • Location: Remote, US only • Rate: Competitive, depending on experience • Start date: As soon as possible This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking team, work on meaningful technical challenges, and make an impact right away.
