S400 Developer

We are seeking a high-level Technical Lead with over 10 years of experience to drive the development of robust solutions on the iSeries platform. This role balances strategic technical roadmapping with hands-on COBOL development, requiring a professional who can lead onshore/offshore teams within a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities • Analyze and refine complex functional and technical requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders. • Lead and mentor a distributed team using an onshore/offshore delivery model. • Execute hands-on development of efficient, scalable code and optimize existing applications. • Drive the technology roadmap both functionally and technically for the project suite. • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, focusing on Continuous Integration and process improvement. • Coordinate with clients for solution discussions and requirement clarifications. Essential Skills • 10+ years of expert-level coding in COBOL AS400 and COBOL ILE. • Proficiency in iSeries (Mid-Range) environments, including CLLE and SQL. • Strong command of DB2400 database management and optimization. • Experience utilizing ACMS (Application Control Management System) or MOM. • Proven track record in Technical Leadership and Generic Managerial Skills. Desirable Skills • Prior experience in RxClaim functional domains. • Experience in high-security/regulated environments (ITAR, NERC CIP, or NRC). • Deep understanding of DevOps principles within an AS400 context.
