Sage100 ProvideX Developer

Job Title: Sage 100 ProvideX Developer / Analyst Location: North Carolina (Remote but will need to visit client site when required) Overview Support, customize, and optimize the Sage100 environment. Work with Sage 100’s ProvideX database, developing integrations, maintaining business logic, and ensuring smooth ERP operations across finance, inventory, payroll, and manufacturing modules. Key Responsibilities • Customization • Develop and maintain custom scripts in ProvideX (PVX). • Configure and extend Sage 100 modules (GL, AR, AP, Inventory, Payroll, Manufacturing). • Use Business Object Interface (BOI) for automation and integration. • Data Management • Maintain and troubleshoot PVX file structures (direct and indexed files). • Perform data imports/exports using Visual Integrator (VI). • Ensure data integrity and optimize performance across modules. • Integration & Reporting • Build integrations with external applications via BOI and APIs. • Support reporting tools (Crystal Reports, SQL-based BI). • Collaborate with IT teams to migrate or replicate PVX data into SQL environments. • Support • Provide end-user support for ERP processes. • Debug PVX code and resolve system errors. • Work with Sage partners for upgrades and patches. Required Skillsets Strong knowledge of ProvideX language and database structures. • Experience with Sage 100 ERP modules (finance, distribution, manufacturing). • Proficiency in Visual Integrator (VI) and Business Object Interface (BOI). • Familiarity with Crystal Reports and SQL-based reporting. • ERP functional knowledge in accounting, inventory, and payroll. • Ability to debug PVX code and perform system maintenance. • Experience with ERP migrations (PVX → SQL). • Knowledge of API integrations and ETL tools. • Background in manufacturing or distribution industries. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
