Sales Compensation Analyst III
Responsibilities:
• Collaborates regularly with other functions supporting sales
• Using a combination of SQL, MS Excel, Google Sheets, and/or Salesforce to develop, maintain, and automate insights on: sales quotas, sales KPIs, and sales compensation plans.
• Track and report sales incentive programs and commissions.
• Ensure accurate calculation and timely disbursement of sales compensation.
• Monitor, investigate, and analyze multiple kinds of data sets to provide audited sales data results to support compensation-related metrics.
• Generate insights through visualizations and advanced analytics
• Develop narratives and recommendations from analyses, build presentations, and present findings to business stakeholders, including recommendations on compensation plan adjustments.
Required Qualifications:
• 3-5+ years’ experience in operations role (sales operations, revenue operations, sales support), including experience with sales compensation administration.
• 2 + years’ experience as Salesforce “power user” to build reports and dashboards
• Experience with data delivery, automation, business intelligence, and visualization tools e.g. SQL, Salesforce, Excel/Sheets, Looker, Power Bi, or Tableau
• Can pull sales insights from complex data sets, communicating results with clarity and provide recommendations to the business, including recommendations related to compensation plans.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology
• Problem solver by nature and can identify improvement opportunities, especially in compensation structures and processes.
• You have strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• You have a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree (business, analytics), finance, or equivalent work experience
• Understanding of sales compensation principles and best practices

• Project Business Validation Description: The role involves using data analysis and reporting techniques to support strategic decision-making, particularly concerning sales performance, quotas, and importantly, sales compensation plans. The analyst will work with various data tools (SQL, Excel, Salesforce) to generate insights and provide recommendations.
• Business Validation Scope: The scope includes analyzing sales performance metrics, tracking and reporting sales incentives and commissions, ensuring accurate calculation and timely disbursement of sales compensation, and monitoring and analyzing data sets to support compensation-related metrics. It also involves collaborating with other sales functions.
• Business Validation Deliverables: The role requires developing reports and dashboards (especially within Salesforce), generating data visualizations, creating presentations with analysis findings and recommendations (including those related to compensation plan adjustments), and delivering audited sales data results to support compensation-related metrics.
