The Project
The Deloitte Intelligence Services Centre (ISC) is a growing team within the Strategic Risk Transactions Advisory practice of Deloitte UK. Established as a centre of excellence, the ISC delivers incisive insights and actionable intelligence, empowering Deloitte and its clients to proactively mitigate and manage risks while identifying and capitalising on emerging opportunities. We provide a suite of managed service offerings to a diverse client base across industries, encompassing areas such as regulatory compliance, supply chain resilience, due diligence, country risk assessment, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors.
The Role
The Sales & Development Consultant will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of the Intelligence Services Centre, whilst providing ongoing operational support and intelligence expertise to a number of live client activities. This individual will leverage their deep understanding of military and government intelligence principles to identify and develop new business opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally, and support the positioning of ISC capabilities within the market.
The individual will be required to:
• Provide ongoing operational support to the delivery manager, acting as an escalation point for analysts that sit within the delivery team
• Be the intelligence subject matter expert across a range of propositions
• Demonstrate expertise across Intelligence based principles and methodologies
• Support the Identification and qualification of new business opportunities aligned to the ISC’s strategic objectives
• Support with the development of compelling proposals and presentations that clearly articulate the ISC’s value proposition and proposed solutions
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in the intelligence landscape, including technological advancements, geopolitical shifts, and evolving client needs to identify potential opportunities
• Collaborate with subject matter experts within the firm to tailor solutions to specific client requirements
Experience and skills required:
• A professional and confident communication style and an ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail and steadfast focus on quality and risk management
• A proactive attitude and ability to problem solve, identify and manage issues, and escalate as necessary
• A demonstrated ability to take initiative and own work-streams with little oversight
• An ability to juggle and manage a number of different work-streams and work to targets and deadlines
• A flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to shift focus and priorities quickly and effectively
• A collaborative attitude and the ability to guide and communicate with a variety of team members and stakeholders
• Strong understanding of military and government intelligence principles, methodologies, and technologies.
Beneficial/preferred skills and experience:
• Professional project management qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Political Science, Intelligence Studies).
• Active security clearance.
• Experience with proposal writing Experience of working in/with and deep understanding of one of the following key industries: pharmaceuticals, public sector, financial services
• Experience in working with intelligence collection platforms and data visualisation tools
