Role description
Salesforce Administrator - Banking
We are looking for a Salesforce Administrator to join a major UK bank, supporting the day-to-day running, maintenance and improvement of its Salesforce platform.
This is a hands-on Salesforce Admin / platform support role, working closely with the Salesforce Technical Lead, business users and wider IT teams. You will own BAU requests, support users, manage configuration changes, improve processes and help keep the platform stable, secure and effective.
Key responsibilities
• Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Salesforce platform.
• Own Salesforce support tickets, service requests and user queries through to resolution.
• Configure and maintain users, profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules and access controls.
• Build and maintain Salesforce configuration including objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules and approval processes.
• Create and enhance Salesforce Flows to automate business processes and improve user experience.
• Support Sales Cloud and Service Cloud functionality, including case management, queues, routing and service processes.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards and data quality controls to support business teams.
• Support data imports, updates, cleansing and maintenance using tools such as Data Loader.
• Assist with testing, UAT, release activity and post-release support.
• Maintain Salesforce documentation, support processes and user guidance.
• Work with business users to understand requirements and translate them into practical Salesforce improvements.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA and IT teams where more technical changes or integrations are required.
• Work within Agile / IT support environments using tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence or Azure DevOps.
• Operate in line with banking risk, compliance, security and change-control standards.
Skills and experience
• Experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform Support Analyst.
• Strong hands-on Salesforce administration experience across Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
• Good knowledge of users, profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules and Salesforce security configuration.
• Experience configuring objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, approval processes and Flows.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards and operational MI.
• Comfortable owning BAU tickets, user queries, incidents and platform support requests.
• Experience supporting releases, UAT, testing and post-release issue resolution.
• Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.
• Experience working in a structured IT environment with change control and documentation standards.
Desirable experience
• Experience in banking, financial services or another regulated environment.
• Salesforce Service Cloud experience, including case management, queues, routing or Omni-Channel.
• Experience with Data Loader, Workbench or similar Salesforce admin tools.
• Exposure to JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, Azure DevOps or similar ticketing/delivery tools.
• Salesforce Administrator or Advanced Administrator certification.
• Exposure to Apex, LWC, integrations, Financial Services Cloud or OmniStudio would be useful, but is not essential.
