Check our Handelsbanken website for further information The opportunity The Salesforce Functional Architect plays a critical role in designing scalable, secure and user-centric Salesforce services that underpin Handelsbanken’s relationship banking model and growth ambition. The Functional Architect bridges the gap between business requirement and technical feasibility and implementation by advising on end-to-end functional design for the Bank across Salesforce platform, utilising Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Omni Studio, and Experience Cloud. The Functional Architect team are jointly responsible for ensuring solutions are aligned to business outcomes, platform best practices, meet regulatory obligations and are delivered in the most efficient and user centred way. The postholder must be able to work as part of collaborative and multi-disciplinary Agile team with their key responsibilities including understanding user need, design principles and delivery parameters in order to provide clear advice on design recommendations, including advising on OOTB, Customisation and Configuration and in advising, engage both technical and non-technical audiences The role owns and evolves the functional architecture blueprint: defining system processes, data models, and user journeys while maintaining key design artefacts. The Functional Architect supports agile delivery by partnering with Business Analysts to validate user stories and acceptance criteria, with Product Owners to inform prioritisation decisions — ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value and Technical Architects on solution identification. The postholder needs to demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills and be able to work with colleagues from functions across all the Bank to understand business process and design appropriate solutions. What we’re looking for Research (by Harvard University) shows that women are particularly likely to second guess themselves and not apply - so if you are worried you don't meet all the criteria, get in touch anyhow and let us do the worrying… • Experience in Salesforce delivery, including experience operating as a Functional Architect or Senior Salesforce Consultant in a design-accountable role • Hands-on experience with Financial Services Cloud (FSC) — including the FSC data model (Financial Account, Contact, Household, Relationship Group, Referral), and common FSC use cases such as customer onboarding, customer 360,Wealth Asset management and case management • Practical experience with OmniStudio/ Salesforce Industries (formerlyVlocity) — designing and specifying OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures • Experience in Salesforce Lightning, flows, Salesforce security model and other configuration tools in Salesforce. • Experience delivering in a bank or regulated financial services institution — including working with risk, compliance, and InfoSec stakeholders, and translating regulatory requirements into platform designs • Strong requirements engineering skills: structured elicitation, user story authorship, acceptance criteria quality, and end-to-end traceability • Experience working within agile delivery teams using Azure DevOps or Jira — sprint ceremonies, backlog management, story readiness • Comfortable leading workshops and engaging senior business stakeholders with confidence. Highly Desirable • Experience designing or specifying Experience Cloud solutions — including authentication patterns (SAML, OIDC), self-service flows, and community page architecture. • Understanding of Salesforce DevOps practices — sufficient to participate in release planning and understand the implications of metadata dependencies on functional design. • Familiarity with the Salesforce release lifecycle (three major releases per year) and the discipline of pre-release impact assessment. • Prior involvement in or contribution to a Salesforce Centre of Excellence or Community of Practice. • Demonstrable experience with end to end Onboarding and Asset and wealth management solution implementation in a financial servicescontext.
