SAP Data Analyst

SAP Data Analyst required on a contract basis for 6 months plus extensions for our client working outside IR35 for an initial period of 6 months (likely extensions). Your role will be to execute a high‑intensity, outcome‑based SAP data migration workstream. This role focuses on hands‑on delivery: building migration artefacts, running mock loads, executing reconciliation, and ensuring production‑ready migration outcomes. The successful candidate must be execution‑driven, able to operate independently, and able to deliver migration milestones with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities Data Discovery & Consolidation • Review existing data objects, improve documentation, and identify gaps. • Conduct data gap analyses and create business rule registers. Mapping & Transformation • Produce detailed SAP migration mapping documents. • Define transformation rules and manage version control of all artefacts. • Support master data harmonisation activities as required. Migration Build & Test Execution • Prepare detailed technical specifications for Data Engineering teams. • Build load‑ready staging files and validate extract/transform logic. • Execute object testing, record counts, and reconciliation processes. Mock Loads, Cutover & Hypercare • Execute mock migration cycles including reconciliation and variance reporting. • Lead production cutover data migration and ensure formal sign‑off. • Manage defect logs and provide hypercare support for post‑go‑live issues. Skills & Experience Essential • Immediate hands‑on experience with SAP data migration delivery. • Ability to lead full migration cycles independently. • Strong skills in reconciliation, audit trail creation, and defect management. • Demonstrated ability to meet tight milestone deadlines.
