SAP Data Archiving Consultant

Our client is seeking a Senior Support Engineer, specifically an SAP Data Archiving expert. This role is on a contractual-basis, on-demand part-time hours, fully remote, and 6 months project duration with an immediate start date. Position Summary The Senior Support Engineer, SAP Data Archiving (with experience with Content server and ATTP) provides remote support for mission-critical SAP environments (4.x, ECC, HANA) within a global support team. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues across integrated architectures and delivering tested solutions in highly customized environments. Key Responsibilities • Diagnose and resolve complex SAP issues using structured troubleshooting • Provide remote functional support, training, and best-practice guidance • Support customizations and develop fixes for critical defects • Create scripts to analyze and correct data issues • Act as a technical advisor for assigned accounts • Collaborate in a 24x7 support environment (including off-hours as needed) • Contribute to knowledge sharing, tools, and process improvements Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • 10+ years SAP experience (Basis, NetWeaver, Portal, ABAP/J2EE) • Strong SAP Data Archiving configuration and administration experience • Experience supporting enterprise SAP environments and end users • Knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, HANA) and OS (Linux, Windows, AIX) • Experience with Solution Manager and ALM processes • SAP implementation/upgrade project experience Technical Skills • SAP NetWeaver, Enterprise Portal, J2EE, Web Dynpro, iViews • Transport management (CTS+), system architecture, patching • SSO, UME, SSL, LDAP, load balancing, reverse proxy (Apache) • Tools: Visual Admin, ConfigTool, SDM, System Analyzer • TREX, NWDI/NWDS, backup/recovery, BW/BEx setup Core Competencies • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Deep understanding of SAP architecture and business processes • Excellent communication and client-facing skills • Ability to work independently in high-pressure, remote environments Preferred • SAP certifications • Experience across multiple SAP modules and global implementations • Consulting background and industry-specific solution exposure If this role aligns with you - or someone who you know is qualified - please attach your msot updated resume with a good phone number to reach you at.
