If so, we want to hear from you. DTI has an immediate need for a SAP Datasphere/SAP BW consultant for a 3month+ contract in White Plaines, NY. Company Overview Our client is a leading public utility organization responsible for delivering reliable energy services to millions of residential and commercial customers. The organization is committed to modernizing its technology landscape to support data-driven decision making, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. As part of this initiative, they are seeking an experienced SAP Datasphere / SAP BW Consultant to support enterprise analytics and reporting capabilities across multiple business domains. Role Overview The SAP Datasphere / SAP BW Consultant will support data architecture, reporting, and analytics initiatives across key business functions including Hire-to-Retire (H2R), Record-to-Report (RTR), Meter-to-Cash (M2C), and Supply Chain Management (SCM). This role will focus on conducting an SAP BW landscape assessment, translating business requirements into scalable reporting solutions, and developing data models and dashboards using SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). The consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and technical teams to design, build, and optimize analytics solutions that support business performance monitoring and operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Conduct an SAP BW landscape assessment to evaluate current reporting architecture, data models, and opportunities for optimization. • Translate business requirements from H2R, RTR, M2C, and SCM stakeholders into clear data definitions, KPIs, and reporting solutions. • Design, build, and optimize data models and semantic layers in SAP Datasphere. • Develop and enhance SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) dashboards and stories, ensuring strong usability, performance, and data visualization best practices. • Integrate data from SAP and non-SAP systems including S/4HANA, ECC, BW, flat files, and APIs into the Datasphere environment. • Support the full analytics development lifecycle, including functional specifications, technical specifications, and documentation. • Participate in unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Assist with cutover planning, production support, and issue resolution during deployment. • Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to internal teams to ensure long-term solution sustainability. Required Qualifications • Strong experience with SAP Datasphere data modeling and semantic layer design. • Experience working with SAP BW environments and performing BW assessments. • Hands-on experience building SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) dashboards, stories, and reports. • Experience integrating data from SAP and non-SAP data sources. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical analytics solutions. • Strong understanding of functional specifications, technical specifications, and the development lifecycle. • Experience supporting testing phases including unit testing, system testing, and UAT. • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in public utilities or regulated industries. • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for testing and project tracking. • Experience working with S/4HANA analytics environments.
