SAP Development Consultant (Only W2)

Title: SAP Technical Lead (ABAP on HANA | SAP UI5/Fiori) – Full Stack SAP Development Location: Remote (Must be willing to work Pacific Time hours) Employment Type: Contract We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead with strong expertise in ABAP on HANA and Full Stack SAP Development to join a high-performing team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep knowledge of SAP backend development, SAP UI5/Fiori applications, modern SAP development frameworks, and enterprise system integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing SAP applications while providing technical leadership, participating in solution design, and collaborating with onsite and offshore teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using ABAP on HANA. • Develop modern SAP applications using SAP UI5, SAP Fiori, and Fiori Elements. • Create and enhance CDS Views, OData Services, and RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) applications. • Build responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS within the SAP UI5 framework. • Design and implement integrations between SAP and external systems using RFCs, BAPIs, ALE/IDOCs, Proxy, OData, and Web Services. • Develop and enhance SAP solutions using User Exits, BADIs, Module Pool Programming, and Enhancement Framework techniques. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP applications, interfaces, and middleware, including basic PI/PO support. • Participate in technical architecture discussions and recommend scalable, best-practice solutions. • Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and ensure adherence to SAP development standards. • Collaborate effectively with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and distributed onsite/offshore teams throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications • Strong experience in SAP ABAP on HANA development. • Hands-on expertise with SAP UI5, SAP Fiori, and Fiori Elements. • Experience developing CDS Data Models, CDS Views, and OData Services. • Strong knowledge of the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP). • Experience with frontend technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS. • Experience integrating SAP with external applications using RFC, BAPI, ALE/IDOC, Proxy, OData, and Web Services. • Hands-on experience with BADIs, User Exits, Module Pool Programming, and SAP Enhancement Framework. • Basic knowledge of SAP PI/PO and interface troubleshooting. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Prior experience leading development teams and coordinating onsite/offshore delivery. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations. • Exposure to SAP Gateway and SAP Integration technologies. • Experience working in Agile development environments. • Strong technical leadership and solution architecture experience.
