Role description
Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Senior SAP Engineer with a Communications client.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• 7+ years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise with S/4HANA system administration and HANA database management.
• 3+ years of experience with SAP Business Objects administration.
• 2+ years working with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for system integrations.
• Extensive experience with SAP HANA Cockpit for monitoring and administration.
Job Description:
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in SQL for database management and performance tuning.
• Expertise in SAP system patching, upgrades, and kernel maintenance.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and high-availability configurations.
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and change management.
• Experience with SAP Fiori administration and configuration (preferred).
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for SAP deployments.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Linux/UNIX, Windows Server) supporting SAP environments.
• Familiarity with SAP security concepts, including user management and authorization.
• Plusses:
• SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA.
• SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration (SAP Basis).
• SAP Cloud Platform Integration certification or equivalent
• Experience with SAP system migrations to cloud or hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management.
• Ability to work on-call or outside regular hours for system maintenance and emergency support.
• Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver and ABAP stack administration
• Understanding of data archiving and storage optimization in SAP environments.
Location: St Louis, MO
Onsite expectation: 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week
Pay range: 70-75/hr W2 target, conversion salary of 140-150K
