Role: SAP Plan to Manufacture (PTM) Business Analyst
Type: Contract
Location : Dallas,TX
Support and enhance the clientβs Plan to Manufacture (PTM) processes in SAP. Partner with Manufacturing sites, QRCs/service centers, sales, supply chain, quality, and finance colleagues to gather requirements, document process flows, assist with configuration and testing, and drive user adoption. Your work will elevate the customerβs experience across the PTM landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Process and Requirements
β’ Document end-to-end PTM workflows: MTS/MTO Demand planning, MRP processing, Planned/Production Order creation, Planned/Production Order processing, Quality Management, Capacity Planning
β’ Perform configuration in SAP modules supporting PTM: MM (material master/purchasing), PP (BOMβs/routings/work centers), QM (inspection/testing), Document Management, and FI/CO (costing/settlement)
β’ Elicit and translate business requirements into user stories, process maps, and functional specifications
β’ Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in the Global Template; propose solution options aligned to the Global Template
SAP Solution Support
β’ Prepare SOPs, quick reference guides, and training materials; conduct end-user training
β’ Create test scripts; execute unit/SIT/UAT; log defects and retest fixes
β’ Support go-lives, stabilization, and hypercare; meet ticket resolution SLAs and track recurring issues for continuous improvement
Data and Integration
β’ Maintain process documentation and ensure auditability and compliance utilizing Solman
β’ Partner on master data governance: materials, vendor master, customer master
β’ Coordinate with developers on interfaces (IDocs/APIs), logistics, document management, and reporting
Qualifications
Required
β’ 10+ years working with SAP in PTM (S/4HANA preferred; ECC acceptable) including demonstrated proficiency in system configuration
β’ Hands-on support in PTM with knowledge of MM, PP, PM, QM, DM, FI/CO; willingness to learn from others
β’ Experience documenting requirements, writing functional specifications, and executing structured testing
β’ Strong analytical skills with comfort in data validation, basic reporting, and KPI tracking
β’ Effective communication, stakeholder collaboration, and user training ability
Preferred
β’ Experience in rotating equipment (valves, seals, pumps)
β’ Familiarity with Fiori apps for ETO (Project System), EWM/WM logistics, and COPA reporting
β’ Exposure to Agile practices (backlog management, sprint ceremonies)
β’ Participation in multi-site/global SAP projects or template deployments
