SAP SCM Data Consultant

Position: Senior SAP Data Consultant – Supply Chain & Manufacturing We are seeking an experienced SAP-focused data consultant to support a global manufacturing organization with complex, multi-plant operations. This role is primarily advisory, focused on analyzing transactional and master data to uncover process inefficiencies, assess end-to-end operations, and deliver actionable insights to both technical and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Examine SAP transactional and master data across supply chain, logistics, and inventory processes to identify operational bottlenecks. • Conduct comprehensive process reviews, including: • Material availability and shortage patterns • Supplier performance and variability in lead times • Forecast changes and their impact on production planning • Sequencing, flow, and batch-driven manufacturing operations • Transportation, logistics, and warehouse interactions • Analyze planning assumptions, data models, and interdependencies within SAP. • Translate complex data insights into clear, business-ready recommendations. • Provide guidance to SAP technical teams and operational stakeholders on process improvements. • Collaborate with existing SAP delivery teams in an advisory capacity without direct system configuration. Qualifications: • Hands-on experience with SAP data (transactional and master data). • Functional knowledge in SAP supply chain, transportation, and inventory management modules. • Demonstrated ability to identify systemic process issues through data analysis alone. • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills without reliance on third-party analytics tools. • Experience in multi-plant or global manufacturing environments preferred. • Familiarity with: • Material planning and shortages • Supplier evaluation and lead time management • Forecast variability and demand planning impacts • Just-in-time sequencing and batch-driven production • Logistics and transportation coordination • Proven experience in a consultative or advisory role. • Strong communication skills, capable of influencing business and technical stakeholders. • Ability to drive recommendations without direct ownership of SAP systems.
