Role description
Job Title: SAP Senior Developer / Consulting Director Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday–Thursday every other week) Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension) Interview Type: One Round – Virtual (MS Teams, Video On) Candidate Location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense. Key Responsibilities β€’ Lead the technical design and architecture of SAP S/4HANA solutions for a brownfield migration. β€’ Oversee migration of SAP ECC and related components to S/4HANA with RISE using SUM DMO and Conversion Cockpit. β€’ Collaborate with functional, BASIS, infrastructure, security, and development teams to establish high-performance, scalable system architectures. β€’ Guide migration strategy, system sizing, and performance optimization. β€’ Oversee remediation of custom enhancements, Fiori apps, APIs, and interfaces (PI/PO, CPI, IDocs). β€’ Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security, and audit requirements. β€’ Participate in planning, estimation, and risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle. β€’ Review and approve partner deliverables and support Architecture Review Board governance. β€’ Engage with SAP and implementation partners on RISE design and implementation. β€’ Produce Architecture Decision Records and contribute to governance reviews. Required Skills β€’ 10+ years of experience with SAP technologies. β€’ 4+ years of experience in S/4HANA projects. β€’ Proven experience as an SAP Technical Architect on at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation. β€’ Strong understanding of SAP NetWeaver, ABAP programming, SAP HANA DB architecture, and SAP Fiori/UI. β€’ Experience with SAP integration tools and methodologies (PI/PO, CPI, RFC, BAPIs, REST, SOAP). β€’ In-depth knowledge of SAP landscape architecture, system sizing, high availability, and disaster recovery. β€’ Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills β€’ Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). β€’ Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies. β€’ Experience with SAP RISE. β€’ Knowledge of smartShift for SAP code remediation. β€’ Experience with SAP BW, analytics, and reporting tools. β€’ Knowledge of SAP ILM for data archiving. β€’ Background in Federal or State Government environments. β€’ SAP S/4HANA Technical Architecture certification. β€’ Experience with SAP bolt-on tools (BSI, Vertex, Adobe Document Services, OnBase). β€’ Experience with Tricentis Test Automation. Education β€’ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
