This Junior SAS Programmer with Python skills bridges legacy analytics and modern data ecosystems. Typical prioritize roles in Data Modernization or Statistical Programming, focusing on translating, optimizing, and automating complex data workflows across both platforms.
Responsibilities:
Code Migration & Modernization: Convert legacy SAS programs, DATA steps, PROC SQL, and macros into scalable Python functions and modules
Data Pipelines & Automation: Develop, optimize, and schedule ETL/ELT pipelines. Build automation scripts using Python libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Boto3
Validation & Debugging: Perform side-by-side reconciliation and validation of outputs between SAS and Python to ensure analytical accuracy.
Statistical Programming: Design analysis datasets and automated reporting tools (e.g., SDTM, ADaM standards in clinical environments)
Key Requirement:
Programming Languages: Advanced proficiency in Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, and Python.
SQL & Databases: Strong SQL development, query optimization, and experience with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake).
