Role description
SAS Developer – Banking Domain (Lead Role) Location: Hybrid – New Jersey (2 days onsite/week) Type: Contract Duration: [12 months] Start Date: [Bac fill] Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced SAS Developer with strong expertise in the Banking domain to serve as a technical lead bridging offshore and onshore teams. This hybrid role requires onsite presence in New Jersey twice a week and offers an exciting opportunity to lead data-driven initiatives in a dynamic financial environment. Key Responsibilities: • Lead SAS development efforts across offshore and onshore teams. • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytics solutions. • Design, develop, and optimize SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and reporting. • Ensure data integrity and compliance with banking regulations. • Act as a liaison between offshore development teams and onshore business units. • Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior developers. • Manage timelines, deliverables, and communication across distributed teams. Required Skills: • 6+ years of hands-on SAS programming experience. • Strong domain knowledge in Banking or Financial Services (e.g., risk, compliance, credit, fraud). • Proven experience in leading distributed teams and managing cross-location collaboration. • Expertise in SAS Base, SAS Macros, and SAS Enterprise Guide. • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Teradata). • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with regulatory reporting (e.g., CCAR, Basel, AML). • Knowledge of Python or SQL for data manipulation. • Prior experience in hybrid work environments.
