PROLIM Global Corporation (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking a SAS Viya Administrator for the location Austin, Texas, United States. Job Description: β€’ With more complete knowledge of SAS Viya and Kubernetes, and a more diligent attitude toward maintaining and upgrading the system β€’ We are looking for a contractor to fill a SAS Viya administrator role that has the following skills and experience: β€’ Design, deploy, configure, and maintain SAS Viya environments to meet business needs and performance requirements. β€’ Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot issues for SAS Viya system administration β€’ Perform regular patch upgrades for SAS environments to ensure system stability. β€’ Automate alerts for system errors or issues to enable quick response. β€’ Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities are in place for SAS environments by managing disaster recovery processes, ensuring system readiness. β€’ Optimize system performance through routine monitoring and tuning. β€’ Maintain up-to-date documentation on administrative processes and system configurations. β€’ Coordinate with IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of SAS with other systems. β€’ Ensure compliance with security policies and manage user permissions effectively. β€’ Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and stakeholders on SAS capabilities, limitations, and best practices. β€’ Participate in cross-functional teams to drive innovation, process improvements, and knowledge sharing related to SAS administration. β€’ Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation and integration tasks. β€’ Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and experience with server virtualization technologies β€’ Build, maintain, patch and administer EKS clusters β€’ Experience and knowledge with cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS) and containerization technologies Duties: β€’ Install, configure, and manage SAS software in AWS cloud. β€’ Create detailed SAS architectural diagrams, Installation Guides, and Runbooks necessary for operational management of SAS software. β€’ Work with security team in creating a System Security Plan to harden the installation. β€’ Monitor, tune, and scale SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Statistics, SAS Data Preparation, and SAS Data Mining based on usage. β€’ Address non-functional requirements such as scalability, high availability, performance, disaster recovery, and reliability. β€’ Automate monitoring and incident response to the extent possible through scripting. β€’ On-board users to the environment, educate them on best practices, help troubleshoot and resolve issues. Skills β€’ Experience managing multi-node SAS cluster in a cloud environment. β€’ Experience in the administration of SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Statistics, SAS Data Preparation, and SAS Data Mining software. β€’ Experience installing and configuring various data sources including but not limited to Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, Snowflake, and Salesforce. β€’ Experience in scheduling and automating data extracts from various data sources such as relational databases, Excel, Access DB, Snowflake, Salesforce etc. β€’ Working experience on Linux operating system. β€’ Experience implementing security controls to protect sensitive data processed through the SAS server. β€’ Experience in integrating SAS Server with an identity and access management system using SAML or by other means β€’ Experience in automating the monitoring the health of multi-node SAS Server cluster and other resources such as load balancers on a major cloud platform. β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering or a related field β€’ Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry β€’ SAS Certification Apply online for immediate consideration, please send your updated resume, and contact info via email jayaprakash.hiremath@prolim.com About PROLIM Corporation PROLIM is a leading provider of end-to-end IT, PLM and Engineering Services and Solutions for Global 1000 companies.
