Role description

Position: Solr Developer/Java Solr Developer (Scala)

Location: Atlanta, GA Onsite

Contract: Long Term Contract

· Experience (8+ years) with distributed search and indexing systems – Lucene, SOLR

· Experience (10+ years) in Java development - server side Java, JDBC, Multi-threading etc. (required)

· Experience with open source software (highly desired)

· Good understanding of agile development and continuous integration (highly desired)

· Strong written and verbal communication skills (required)

Job Requirements – Required Skills:

· hands-on experience with distributed search and indexing systems (Solr/Lucene) in high-volume environments

· Server-side Java development – strong in multithreading, JDBC, performance tuning, memory management (required)

· Proven experience with secure data handling, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with data protection regulations (required)

· Solid experience working with open source technologies and frameworks (highly desired)

· Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI (highly desired)

· Strong understanding of agile methodologies, test-driven development, and continuous integration best practices (highly desired)

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal form (required)
