Scala Developer

Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in internet-based television services, is seeking a Scala Developer to join their team. As a Scala Developer, you will be part of the Backend Video Services team supporting the development of client-facing REST APIs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Scala Developer Location: Greenwood Village, Colorado Pay Range: $70 + an hour What's the Job? • Develop and maintain scalable backend microservices using Scala and related technologies. • Design and implement REST APIs to support IP TV functionalities such as entitlement verification and parental controls. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and reliability. • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality software delivery. • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, providing timely resolutions to incidents. What's Needed? • Extensive experience with Scala backend API development and functional programming principles. • Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and caching architectures like Memcached. • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
