Role description
Job Title: Scientist II – Image Analysis / Digital Pathology We are seeking a Scientist II – Image Analysis to support advanced biomedical imaging and digital pathology efforts focused on quantitative tissue analysis and biomarker development. This role sits at the intersection of image analysis, computational biology, and pathology, with a strong emphasis on developing and applying analytical pipelines for complex imaging datasets. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and optimize image analysis pipelines for 2D and 3D biomedical imaging data • Perform quantitative analysis of histology, IHC, IF, and multiplex imaging datasets • Apply classical image processing and machine learning techniques for segmentation, feature extraction, and classification • Work across digital pathology platforms (e.g., HALO, Visiopharm, QuPath) and support tool integration • Collaborate with pathologists, biologists, and data scientists to define analytical endpoints • Validate image-derived biomarkers and ensure analytical rigor and reproducibility • Document workflows and maintain reproducible analytical processes • Support interpretation and visualization of image-based data for scientific reporting • Enable cross-lab collaboration through transfer of image analysis workflows and algorithms Required Skills & Experience: • Proficiency in Python and/or R for scientific programming • Strong experience applying machine learning methods to image data, ideally in pathology (H&E, IHC, mIF) • Experience with cell image analysis and multiplex IHC marker quantification in digital pathology • Hands-on experience with tools such as HALO AI, Visiopharm, QuPath, CellProfiler (or similar platforms) • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently • Experience in tumor immunology and histopathology is a plus • Prior biotech or industry experience strongly preferred Education: • Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline with 3+ years of experience, or • Master’s degree in a related scientific discipline, or equivalent experience in a related field 👉 If you are interested in this Scientist II – Image Analysis role, please apply directly.
