Role description
Security-Cleared Data Analyst – Workday Financials Data Migration Contract Type: Initial contract until end of 2025 (inside IR35) Day Rate: £650–£750 (Inside IR35) Clearance Required: Active SC Clearance Location: Remote (UK-based only). On-site face-to-face interview required. The Role We’re looking for a Security-Cleared Data Analyst to join a major digital transformation programme within a secure government environment. This role focuses on the migration of legacy systems into Workday Financials, ensuring a smooth, secure, and compliant transition. As part of the programme team, you’ll become a Workday Financials and Data expert, working hands-on across design, configuration, testing, and implementation phases. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver excellence at every step of the migration lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Analyse and profile legacy system data to assess structure, quality, and readiness for migration • Support data mapping, cleansing, and transformation into Workday Financials • Use Workday tools such as iLoad, EIB, Object Transporter, Advanced Load, and Migration Recipe for tenant-to-tenant migrations • Convert and map data sources into Workday conversion templates using iLoads • Guide clients through the extract and cleansing process, moving configuration between tenants and configuring business processes/security • Create ETL scripts to transform and load data, improving and normalising client datasets • Build and maintain data tracking and monitoring tools, developing reports that deliver clear, accurate insights • Validate data post-load and support UAT, cutover planning, and reconciliation reporting • Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to identify risks, define requirements, and ensure data integrity throughout • Actively participate in training and knowledge-sharing across the programme team Skills & Experience ✅ Proven track record as a Data Analyst on ERP or large-scale system migration projects (Workday Financials highly desirable) ✅ Hands-on experience with Workday data migration tools (iLoad, EIB, Object Transporter, Advanced Load, Migration Recipe) ✅ Strong SQL skills with the ability to create scripts and support ETL processes ✅ Experience in data mapping, cleansing, governance, and quality assurance best practices ✅ Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills ✅ Active SC Clearance (essential) Bonus Points For: • Prior experience in government, defence, or other secure environments • Workday Financials implementation or upgrade project exposure • Strong background with Excel, Power BI, or other reporting/visualisation tools Why Apply?
