Job Summary
We are seeking a Security Software Data Engineer III to join a mature, Agile, and cross-functional Information Security Engineering team. This role focuses on building and maintaining security products, as well as developing custom cybersecurity integrations that enhance application security.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security engineering concepts, data integration, and software development, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Analyze and understand requirements for new security integrations and solutions.
β’ Design and develop solutions to enhance the security posture of applications.
β’ Build and maintain custom cybersecurity integrations with enterprise applications.
β’ Establish and maintain strong working relationships with:
β’ Application development teams
β’ Information Security partners
β’ Lead and manage project execution, including:
β’ Tracking deliverables and milestones
β’ Reporting project status and progress
β’ Documenting requirements, design, and support processes
β’ Troubleshoot and support distributed systems with a security-first mindset.
β’ Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
β’ Working knowledge of:
β’ Encryption technologies and best practices
β’ Certificate and key management systems
β’ Experience with security tools such as Venafi and/or CyberArk
β’ Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as:
β’ Python
β’ Java
β’ JavaScript / Node.js
β’ Strong understanding of system architecture and distributed systems
β’ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with HashiCorp Vault or IBM Vault
β’ Knowledge of tokenization technologies
β’ Exposure to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC/PQR)
β’ Experience writing test code (unit and integration testing)
β’ Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI
