Security Software Data Engineer (W2 Contract Only)

Job Title: Security Software Data Engineer III Location: Virtual (Ohio, United States) Duration: 12 Months Job Summary We are seeking a Security Software Data Engineer III to join a mature, Agile, and cross-functional Information Security Engineering team. This role focuses on building and maintaining security products, as well as developing custom cybersecurity integrations that enhance application security. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security engineering concepts, data integration, and software development, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams. Key Responsibilities • Analyze and understand requirements for new security integrations and solutions. • Design and develop solutions to enhance the security posture of applications. • Build and maintain custom cybersecurity integrations with enterprise applications. • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with: • Application development teams • Information Security partners • Lead and manage project execution, including: • Tracking deliverables and milestones • Reporting project status and progress • Documenting requirements, design, and support processes • Troubleshoot and support distributed systems with a security-first mindset. • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborate within cross-functional teams. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Working knowledge of: • Encryption technologies and best practices • Certificate and key management systems • Experience with security tools such as Venafi and/or CyberArk • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as: • Python • Java • JavaScript / Node.js • Strong understanding of system architecture and distributed systems • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications • Experience with HashiCorp Vault or IBM Vault • Knowledge of tokenization technologies • Exposure to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC/PQR) • Experience writing test code (unit and integration testing) • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI
