Role description
Seismic Specialist (Data Automation Focus)
10-25 hours a week ongoing contract
Overview
Weβre looking for a Seismic Specialist (Contractor) to support clients who are expanding onto the Seismic platform. This role is focused on data automation and document generation, not sales enablement. Youβll own the technical setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Seismic data structures and LiveDocs so that client-facing materials generate accurately and consistently.
If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves in Seismic, working with data, and making complex automation work smoothly, this is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Seismic Data Structure & Automation
β’ Configure and maintain data sheets and SQL-based data sources within Seismic.
β’ Design and manage data models that power LiveDocs and other automated content.
β’ Partner with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable Seismic configurations.
LiveDocs Setup & Troubleshooting
β’ Set up, map, and configure LiveDocs to pull correct data fields and values.
β’ Troubleshoot issues with data not pulling correctly into LiveDocs and resolve formatting or mapping problems.
β’ Own QA and regression testing for LiveDocs templates and updates.
PowerPoint Template & Formatting Support
β’ Modify and maintain PowerPoint (PPT) templates used within Seismic to ensure content generates correctly and consistently.
β’ Adjust layouts, styles, and formatting rules so automated decks look polished and on-brand.
Quality Assurance & Maintenance
β’ QA LiveDocs outputs for accuracy, data integrity, and visual consistency.
β’ Proactively identify data or template issues and implement fixes.
β’ Document configuration, processes, and best practices for the Seismic environment.
Required Qualifications
β’ Hands-on experience working in Seismic, specifically with:
β’ Setting up data sheets and/or SQL databases that feed Seismic.
β’ Configuring and troubleshooting data connections into LiveDocs.
β’ QAβing and validating LiveDocs outputs.
β’ Strong PowerPoint skills, including editing master layouts, slide templates, and formatting to support automated generation.
β’ Demonstrated experience in data automation, integrations, or similar technical marketing operations work (vs. purely content/sales enablement use of Seismic).
β’ Solid understanding of SQL basics and relational data concepts (tables, joins, fields, etc.).
β’ Strong attention to detail, especially around data integrity, formatting, and QA.
β’ Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
