Role description
Job Description Please note that we are currently recruiting for two positions: Senior Actuarial Analyst and Manager (Pricing). Responsibilities: β€’ Produce sound rate level indications with intermediate understanding of actuarial ratemaking methodology. β€’ Support state filing process with actuarial memorandum, actuarial filing forms, correspondence with regulators, measurement of rate impacts, and documentation of analysis. β€’ Quantify and validate proposed rates. β€’ Query and aggregate ratemaking data. β€’ Perform complex trend analysis (e.g. frequency and severity trends) β€’ Automate and enhance processes to improve efficiencies. β€’ Support and/or lead the development and design of new plans, programs, processes, products up to moderate complexity. β€’ Complete pricing projects and ad-hoc requests. β€’ Support management information to inform business partners on the health of the business. β€’ Communicate effectively with management and business partners. β€’ Adhere to internal and external compliance requirements/standards. β€’ Assist with the development of junior-level staff. Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics or related field β€’ 4 plus years of experience as an actuarial analyst or quantitative pricing analyst, or related experience; Automobile Pricing experience required. β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/VBA and SAS, Python or SQL required. β€’ Successful completion of 3 or more actuarial exams or demonstrates equivalent knowledge. Please note, you must work Eastern or Central Standard Time hours. Rate: $60-$75/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
