As we accelerate the transformation of our business to suit the changing needs of our customer, we need results-orientated colleagues that not only have a passion for our product, but a strong team working ethos, creativity and a healthy commercial aim to join us on our journey.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office at least three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What You’ll Do
As an Analyst in the Sparks team, you will be working alongside a group of analysts responsible for the evaluation and analysis of key campaigns and activities across the Sparks programme. You will be measuring the performance of initiatives such as CRM and offer campaigns, as well as larger strategic proposition projects.
Your Key Accountabilities Will Include
• Development and enhancement of Sparks reporting through Power BI. Working with stakeholders on continuing development of existing Sparks and new Sparks dashboard reporting, building out automated workflows to optimise efficiency.
• Analysis and evaluation across Sparks as required. Evaluation of Sparks campaigns - working with Campaign Managers and Analytical teams on ensuring the test & learn structure of campaigns are fit for evaluation
• Delivery of ad-hoc analysis on personalised offers.
• Analysis and evaluation of customer experience across Sparks. Generation of customer insight analytics to enable the complete comprehension of the loyalty programme, playing a key insight led role in crafting the Spark’s future.
• Packaging up and presenting the story to key business groups to generate consensus and engagement across M&S. Sharing analytical results and methods in a commercial and compelling manner, with ability to visualise insights in a clear and concise format, enabling self-serve.
• Ensuring that findings are shared within the team and the business to drive a culture of data. Actively participate in training and data/analytics sharing sessions.
Your Key Skills Will Include
• Being passionate about analytics and demonstrate a detailed understanding of the customer, their behaviour, characteristics, and relationship with M&S.
• Demonstrate an analytical ‘curiosity’ through innovative, data driven insights about business questions.
• Exceptional problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong knowledge of advanced SQL across big data tables. Knowledge of analytical coding languages such as Python, PySpark, or R .Exposure and experience of using Azure Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of using Power BI, including automation of workflows and reporting.
• Experience visualising data and presenting analytics.
• Knowledge of manipulating and transforming data sets and applying analytical methodologies.
