Senior Azure Cloud Engineer
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Parsippany, NJ that is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer. Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Senior Azure Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, Defender, Purview, Exchange, and Intune, and will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems. Additionally, the candidate will work extensively with networking technologies, including Azure Firewall and Palo Alto firewalls. This is a hybrid but primarily in-office role. The candidate is expected to be on-site four days a week and can work one day from home. Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and manage our cloud-based infrastructure using Microsoft Azure
• Administer and optimize our Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, EntraID, SharePoint, and Teams
• Configure and manage Intune for device management, ensuring all company devices meet security and compliance standards
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and systems
• Manage and configure networking infrastructure, including Azure Firewall and Palo Alto firewalls
• Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
• Provide technical support and training to staff to ensure effective use of technology resources
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to continually improve our IT infrastructure
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in a systems engineering role, with a focus on Microsoft technologies
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Experience with Intune for device management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices
• Experience with Azure Firewall and Palo Alto firewalls
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of EntraID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
• Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration and management
Relevant Microsoft Certifications Such As
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
