Senior Business & Data Analyst

Job Overview: We are looking for a Senior Business & Data Analyst to join a collaborative Agile product team supporting the enhancement and expansion of a virtual assistant product and broader communication experiences. This role blends business analysis, product support, and data analytics. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous environments, works effectively across business and technology functions, and can turn complex data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: Business Analysis & Product Support: • Analyze business needs, user personas, and product objectives to develop clear user stories and acceptance criteria. • Partner with Product Owners, developers, UX designers, researchers, and QA to refine requirements and ensure alignment with feature and epic goals. • Act as a liaison between technical and business teams to ensure delivered solutions meet defined requirements. • Support multiple complex business processes and contribute to ongoing system and process improvements. • Create and maintain documentation such as requirements specifications, workflows, process maps, and business rules. • Assist with project planning activities including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications. • Serve as a key contact for issue resolution and system escalations, ensuring timely follow-through. Data Analytics & Insights: • Interpret data from various sources including Salesforce, Splunk, Pendo, and custom/in-house systems. • Convert raw data into meaningful insights, trends, and recommendations to guide decision-making. • Develop and maintain KPIs, scorecards, and analytical reports, with an emphasis on automating manual processes over time. • Present analytical findings to stakeholders in a clear, business-focused format. • Ensure insights are consistently used to support data-driven product and feature enhancements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Work within a cross-functional Scrum team, supporting product launches, enhancements, and iterative improvements. • Bridge communication gaps between product management, engineering, and business stakeholders through clear requirement clarification. • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture (not responsible for leading Scrum events). Required Experience & Skills: • 5+ years of combined experience in data analytics, business analysis, and/or product management. • Strong analytical and technical capabilities, with experience supporting complex or custom-built applications. • Hands-on familiarity with data and analytics platforms such as: • Salesforce (data extraction and correlation) • Splunk, Pendo, or similar monitoring/analytics tools • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language. • Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and derive structured, actionable insights. • Experience with requirements gathering, user story creation, and acceptance criteria validation. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS, or a related discipline. Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of financial services, enterprise technology, or communication/collaboration products. • Exposure to REST APIs, microservices, and modern integration patterns. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Familiarity with Jira, Mural, and Dynatrace.
