About the Company The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is a state government agency dedicated to protecting and improving the health of all Californians. CDPH develops and implements public health programs, promotes disease prevention, advances health equity, and ensures access to quality healthcare services across the state. The department oversees a wide range of public health initiatives, including disease surveillance, environmental health, emergency preparedness, laboratory services, maternal and child health, and vital records. About the Role Role: Business Intelligence Analyst Location: Sacramento, CA Duration: 5+ Years Responsibilities • At a minimum, two (2) years of experience in data analysis. • At least six (6) months of that experience must have developing business intelligence reports. Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. • If substituting the Bachelor's degree with an additional of qualifying experience, then the requirement for experience must reflect a total of six (6) years of experience. Required Skills • Up to three (3) additional year(s) above the mandatory minimum of two (2) years of experience. • A minimum of one (1) project with experience providing Business Intelligence visualization services for federal, state, or local government entities. • A minimum of one (1) project with experience working on large IT projects providing dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, and Tableau. • Utilizing multiple data sources such as extract transform load (ETL) pipelines and SQL.
