Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Brunel is currently recruiting a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support a Continuous Improvement team within a major LNG operation in Houston. This position is focused on business analytics, reporting, automation, and process improvement. This is not an IT development role. The ideal candidate will combine technical data capabilities with strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders. Responsibilities • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop data driven solutions • Lead and support projects through planning, execution, delivery, and documentation • Develop reporting and analytics solutions that improve decision making and business performance • Build and optimize dashboards, workflows, and reporting processes • Design and maintain data pipelines and data transformation processes • Assess and improve data quality, governance, and reporting accuracy • Integrate data from multiple business systems and sources • Identify automation opportunities using Power Platform tools • Translate technical findings into clear business recommendations • Create and maintain process documentation and user training materials • Collaborate across teams while managing priorities independently Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field • 5 to 7+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or related functions • Advanced experience with Power BI including dashboard development and data modeling • Strong SQL and relational database experience • Experience with ETL processes and data transformation • Experience managing data projects from requirements gathering through delivery • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to business stakeholders • Experience creating scalable reporting and analytical solutions Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Tableau • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Automate and Power Apps • Knowledge of data engineering concepts and enterprise data architecture • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives • Oil & Gas, LNG, energy, or commercial operations experience preferred • Experience with ETRM systems such as Endur is a plus What We Are Looking For • Someone comfortable owning projects independently • Strong analytical and problem solving capability • Ability to work in a collaborative office environment • Experience delivering complex reporting solutions using multiple data sources • Someone who can explain technical concepts to leadership and business teams Interested candidates can apply directly or contact me to discuss the opportunity.
