Role description
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Risk & Controls to join their team. As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Risk & Controls, you will be part of the Risk Management Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, independence, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Risk & Controls
Location:Charlotte, NC (hybrid - 3 days in/ 2 days remote)
What's the Job?
• Support large-scale, cross-functional strategic initiatives across multiple business units within the organization.
• Operate independently to provide insights, leadership, and recommendations for risk management and control functions.
• Research and analyze moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives, applying strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of organizational strategy and business execution disciplines.
• Leverage data and reporting tools to generate insights and develop data-driven narratives that inform stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Facilitate decision-making processes, resolve issues, and ensure timely implementation of actionable solutions and plans.
What's Needed?
• 4+ years of experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau, and Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, data dashboards, and automation).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills to turn complex information into clear stories for leadership and collaborate effectively with business partners.
• Experience in banking or finance is highly desirable.
