Role description
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision making across manufacturing, commercial, and go-to-market operations. This role is responsible for transforming complex enterprise data—spanning sales, pricing, customer, operations, and supply chain—into trusted insights that improve sales effectiveness, operational performance, and business execution. Partnering closely with Sales Effectiveness, Commercial Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, and IT, this role designs and delivers scalable analytics solutions using the Microsoft Fabric and Power Platform ecosystem. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and data modeling expertise with a deep understanding of how analytics support revenue growth, margin optimization, forecasting accuracy, and execution discipline in a manufacturing environment. This position is hands-on, business-facing, and outcome-oriented, with accountability for building governed semantic models, delivering executive-ready reporting, and enabling self-service analytics across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: Enterprise & Commercial Analytics: • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade dashboards and reports in Power BI that support Sales Effectiveness, Commercial Operations, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership • Translate business questions related to sales performance, pipeline health, pricing, customer behavior, demand planning, and operational efficiency into scalable analytics solutions • Perform advanced analysis to identify performance drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities across revenue, margin, and operational KPIs • Support Sales Effectiveness initiatives including CRM analytics, pipeline reporting, quota and performance tracking, customer segmentation, and GTM execution insights Data Modeling & Microsoft Fabric: • Build and maintain semantic models using dimensional modeling best practices (star • schemas, fact/dimension design) to support consistent enterprise reporting • Develop and optimize DAX measures and calculations for accuracy, scalability, and performance • Design and manage data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and related Fabric services • Partner with Data Engineering and IT to align BI solutions with the enterprise data architecture and roadmap AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement: • Design AI-ready datasets and semantic models • Support AI integration within Microsoft Fabric and Power Platform • Promote responsible AI usage and data traceability • Identify opportunities for AI-driven insights and automation Data Governance, Quality & Performance: • Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency through validation, testing, monitoring, and issue resolution • Implement and support Power BI and Power Platform governance standards, including workspace design, security, and deployment practices • Optimize Power BI reports and models for performance, usability, and scalability in a large, multi-domain enterprise environment • Document datasets, business logic, KPIs, and reporting definitions to promote transparency, adoption, and long-term maintainability Collaboration & Leadership: • Act as a trusted analytics partner to business stakeholders, bridging technical solutions with operational and commercial needs • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Effectiveness, Manufacturing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Digital teams • Provide guidance, coaching, and informal mentorship to junior analysts or BI developers as needed • Contribute to the evolution of enterprise analytics maturity, standards, and best practices Qualifications Required: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, • Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets • Extensive hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards • Advanced experience writing and optimizing DAX measures • Proven experience designing dimensional and semantic data models • Solid understanding of ETL / ELT processes and modern data pipeline concepts • Experience working with enterprise data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or modern data warehouses) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business problems into structured analytics • Ability to clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences • High attention to detail with a strong focus on data quality, governance, and accuracy Preferred: • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks) • Experience supporting or implementing Power BI / Power Platform governance, including security models and deployment pipelines • Experience in manufacturing, medical device, dental, or industrial environments • Experience supporting sales, commercial operations, pricing, or revenue analytics • Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Data Lake • Experience using Python, R, or similar languages for advanced analytics • Experience working in Agile or analytics engineering teams • Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, or BI deployment processes Technology Environment: • Microsoft Fabric • Power BI • Power Platform • SQL • DAX • Enterprise Data Warehousing • Dimensional & Semantic Data Modeling • AI-enabled analytics Salary/Rate: $50-$65/HR (depends on experience level).
