In this role, you will serve as a hands-on technical contributor responsible for building and maintaining Power BI solutions, developing Databricks-based analytics capabilities, and partnering with local subject matter experts to ensure seamless data integration and adoption.
This is a technically deep role with high visibility. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and AI-powered analytics — leveraging modern tooling to accelerate delivery and empower end users with self-service capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Power BI & Data Modeling
• Design and develop data models that support Power BI reports and dashboards

• Explore and implement new ways to leverage Power BI and Databricks AI features for advanced analytics and reporting
Databricks & Self-Service Analytics
• Design, build, and maintain Databricks Genie agents and natural-language query spaces for end-user self-service analytics
• Curate semantic models, example queries, and business glossaries to ensure accurate and trustworthy responses
• Leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., Copilot, Databricks AI features) to accelerate report development, SQL optimization, and data profiling
Data Engineering & Database Management
• Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, jobs, and data backups
• Work with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database for data integration and pipeline management
• Support ETL processes and data modeling to ensure reliable, timely data delivery
• Manage database environments with strong SQL proficiency in an Azure cloud environment
Stakeholder Partnership & Adoption
• Coordinate with local site SMEs to ensure seamless data integration and timely delivery of site-specific outputs
• Drive sustained local adoption of BI tools and analytics capabilities
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences
Qualifications:
Required
• Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with database management in an Azure environment
• Experience designing and building Power BI reports, dashboards, and underlying data models
• Familiarity with Azure services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database
• Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling best practices
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and communicate with technical and business stakeholders
Preferred
• Experience with Databricks — including Genie, Unity Catalog, semantic layers, or natural-language query spaces
• Exposure to AI-powered development tools (Copilot, Claude, Databricks AI) for accelerating analytics work
• Background in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments
• Experience with DAX, Power Query (M), or semantic model development in Power BI
