Role description
Akkodis is seeking a – “Senior BI Developer” for a Contract position with a client located Remote.
Pay Range: (The rate/salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.).
About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level BI solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data modeling, dashboard creation, ETL processes, and performance optimization across multiple BI platforms. This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven decision support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Create and optimize data models, DAX measures, and calculated columns for performance and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Azure Data Factory, or Informatica.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, define KPIs, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL Server, Azure, SAP, Salesforce, etc.) into semantic and analytical models.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all reporting solutions.
• Optimize queries and dashboards for performance and scalability.
• Support ad-hoc data analysis and assist end users in interpreting insights.
• Stay updated on emerging BI trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve analytics capabilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Proficient in Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI tools.
• Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, DAX, and data visualization principles.
• Experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Talend, etc.) and data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Power BI Data Analyst certification.
• Experience with Python or R for data processing and automation.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD for BI development.
