JOB TITLE: Senior Business Intelligence Engineer LOCATION: Seattle, WA DURATION: 6 months PAY RANGE: $65 - $75/hr. TOP 3 SKILLS: 7+ years of experience working with large-scale, complex datasets, including strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in SQL and ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading Experience with data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI Team/Project Overview: We re at the forefront of understanding customer behavior to guide business strategy. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer plays a crucial role in bridging technology, marketing, finance, statistics, data mining, and social science. Working with marketing and technology teams, you ll analyze customer behavior, provide key insights, and help shape strategies to continually delight customers with convenient, fast, free shipping in US and international markets. Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Evaluate program features and marketing content performance Conduct statistical A/B and multivariate testing Design and maintain program health metrics and reports Respond to ad-hoc requests from business leaders Employ data mining and analytical techniques to identify customer trends Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions Technical Requirements and Competencies: 7+ years of experience with large-scale, complex datasets Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in SQL and ETL processes Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI) Python/R experience is a plus, especially for data analysis and automation Background in statistics, programming, and marketing SAS experience beneficial Graduate degree in math/statistics, computer science, or marketing preferred Excellent communication skills, both technical and business-oriented Ability to work independently and drive clarity in ambiguous situations Experience in metric anomaly investigation and developing new metrics Proven stakeholder management and prioritization skills Relevant Leadership Principles: Customer Obsession Dive Deep Ownership Invent and Simplify BENEFITS SUMMARY: Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
