Buyer III (Contract) 💰 Pay: $49/hour 🕒 Duration: 6+ Month Contract 📍 Location: Seattle, WA About the Role Join a forward-thinking team focused on building scalable and standardized solutions across a rapidly expanding network. As a Buyer III, you will play a key role in driving procurement strategy and operational value for complex equipment and systems within a highly technical and fast-paced environment. This position partners closely with engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams to optimize sourcing, supplier performance, and long-term business outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for equipment and components within complex systems (e.g., material handling, automation, or industrial equipment) • Lead sourcing events, negotiate supplier contracts, and secure competitive pricing and terms • Partner with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, finance, and project teams) to align procurement strategies with business goals • Manage supplier relationships, driving performance in quality, cost, innovation, and delivery • Collaborate cross-functionally to support design optimization and engineering efficiencies • Influence supplier roadmaps, technologies, and processes to align with organizational needs • Lead and support complex procurement initiatives to drive cost savings and productivity improvements • Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to inform sourcing decisions • Develop and track key metrics related to cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field • 7+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain • Strong experience with capital equipment, industrial automation, robotics, or similar complex categories • Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage suppliers • Experience building or improving procurement processes and supply agreements • Cost modeling and strong analytical/data-driven decision-making skills • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders • Ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a fast-paced environment • Experience with procurement tools (e-sourcing platforms, contract management systems) • Experience collaborating with technical teams (engineering, product development, etc.) Preferred Qualifications • Experience within material handling equipment (MHE) or industrial systems • Familiarity with large-scale capital procurement environments • Experience with data analytics or visualization tools • Professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP, or similar) Why This Role • Competitive hourly rate • High-impact role working on complex, large-scale procurement initiatives • Opportunity to partner with engineering and operations teams on cutting-edge systems • Collaborative and fast-paced environment with strong visibility Benefits Information: Pride Global offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k) retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
