Senior Data Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC (Uptown - Hybrid) 12 month contract with extension Overview We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support a high-visibility, enterprise application with a large and active user base. This role serves as the primary data analyst responsible for ensuring data accuracy, investigating discrepancies, and supporting stakeholders following a recent large-scale platform onboarding. This is a hands-on analytical role, ideal for someone who excels in SQL-based investigation, data validation, and issue resolution rather than reporting or development. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the primary data analyst supporting a high-usage enterprise application • Validate data accuracy and investigate discrepancies across complex datasets • Write and modify SQL queries using existing base queries (no report building required) • Trace data flow and lineage to identify upstream vs. downstream data issues • Troubleshoot and remediate data quality and data integrity issues • Respond to stakeholder inquiries and clearly explain findings and impacts • Own issue intake, tracking, and resolution using JIRA • Partner with product owners on user stories and data-related workflows • Provide timely status updates and escalate risks or blockers as needed Required Qualifications • 7+ years of senior-level experience in data analysis, analytics, or business execution roles • Strong SQL analysis skills focused on validation and investigation • Proven experience with data validation and remediation • Experience analyzing data flow and lineage • Stakeholder-facing data support experience • Hands-on experience with JIRA (issue intake, user stories, lifecycle tracking) • Advanced proficiency in Excel or similar analytical tools • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight Nice to Have • Experience supporting enterprise-scale or high-volume applications • Background in regulated or large corporate environments • Ability to independently assess issues without heavy direction Soft Skills & Working Style • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Proactive, confident, and solutions-oriented • Comfortable engaging with both technical and business stakeholders • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Why This Role • High visibility supporting a widely used enterprise platform • Opportunity for contract extension beyond initial term • Collaborative environment with strong product and analytics partners
