Senior Data Analyst

KBS Solutions LLC is seeking Senior Data Analyst and Data Analyst for an exciting contract opportunity with one of our clients based in Boston, MA. This project supports the Discovery Phase of a large-scale legacy system modernization initiative — ideal for professionals with strong SQL, data analysis, and reverse-engineering experience. Duration: 6 Months (High possibility of extension) About the Role You’ll play a key role in uncovering and documenting technical and business logic across undocumented enterprise systems with 500+ database tables, 1600+ stored procedures, SSIS packages, Microsoft Access applications, and multiple interdependent systems. Your work will enable future modernization, migration, and metadata repository development. Key Skills & Expertise • Expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL), schema design, and stored procedure analysis • Hands-on experience with SSIS and Microsoft Access (queries, forms, reports) • Strong understanding of ETL, data lineage, and dependency analysis • Experience analyzing large, undocumented legacy systems • Proficiency in documentation and metadata management (data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, repositories) • Knowledge of Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for metadata visualization • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Roles & Responsibilities • Perform detailed analysis of SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and functions • Reverse-engineer SSIS packages, Access applications, and legacy ETL workflows • Build and maintain metadata repositories capturing dependencies and transformation rules • Document system dependencies and undocumented business logic • Develop data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, and system inventories • Collaborate with SMEs to validate findings and deliver interactive dashboards • Participate in technical discovery sessions and stakeholder workshops To Apply: Send your resume to michelle.kurian@kbstechsolutions.com or 🔗 Apply Here:Click to Apply .
