Senior Data Analyst

Title: Data Analyst Rate: $42- $45.33/hr. Location: Remote Duration: 6 months, w/possible extension Summary: Data Analyst III is needed to help build a data aggregation layer (code/pipelines) that pulls and consolidates data from multiple sources, then outputs standardized datasets that can feed Tableau or Power BI. These outputs should be ingestible by customers (internal/external stakeholders), implying governance, quality, and secure access. Day to day responsibilities: • Collaborate with Senior Analysts who will help organize and prioritize tasks. • Participate in onboarding sessions to understand project scope and expectations. • Receive training on data sources, including fundamentals and differences between old and new systems. • Understand data structure and reporting standards. • Review existing reports from the legacy system. • Interpret how each report is built (logic, calculations, data relationships). • Write code to recreate the same data in the new data source. • Rebuild reports in Power BI based on provided specifications. • Ensure reports meet design and functionality standards. • Perform QA checks and validations to confirm accuracy and completeness. • Conduct multiple rounds of testing (including QQA) before finalizing. • Complete one report at a time, then move to the next. • Approximately 100 reports will need to be migrated. • Start with slower pace during learning phase; timing expectations will adjust as proficiency increases. • Some reports may take longer due to complexity; others may be completed quickly.
