The Role
The Senior Data Analyst position supports the delivery of standardised reporting, system administration, and operational planning capabilities across Shared Services. Working in collaboration with the Business Planning Group (BPG), this role helps implement consistent MI reporting, support system administration, and contribute to scalable capacity planning models. The position will also support the broader vision of operational standardisation and global alignment, enabling a future service model.
What Your Day Will Look Like
• Support the design and delivery of standardised MI reporting solutions for Shared Services teams
• Leverage BPG tools, experience, and established methodologies to guide development and rollout
• Build dashboards and analytical tools to enhance operational visibility and provide actionable insights
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, KPIs, and data quality standards and liaise between teams to ensure knowledge transfer, alignment, and consistency of approach
• Assist in task and system administration processes to support operations, ensuring efficiency and scalability
• Support ServiceNow configuration, maintenance, and optimisation in line with evolving business requirements
• Contribute to capacity planning models that enable data-driven workforce and resource decisions
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement within reporting and operational processes
• Promote strong data governance and process standardisation across operations
• Support the long-term roadmap toward an operational model that enables seamless, round-the-clock support through unified systems and practices
The Team
The Business Planning Group currently consists of four team members supporting the Sheffield Shared Service Centre, with scope expanding to include the US Shared Service Centre. The team’s core responsibilities include performance reporting, administration of shared service systems, and workforce planning.
On a day-to-day basis, the team works closely with operational leadership to deliver actionable performance insights, using data to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality, and to enable informed, data-driven conversations across the organisation in the UK and globally.
Essential Criteria
What we are looking for:
• Knowledge of reporting and visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel)
• An understanding of task management, capacity planning tools, and/or ServiceNow (or similar platforms)
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data accuracy and continuous process improvement
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and functions
Preferred Skills
• Experience of using Power BI and Excel: This can be taken from time spent in an operational role or educational background such as data or IT related courses
• Understanding of data models or databases, demonstrated either as background in data related roles or understanding through education
• Great collaboration and stakeholder management skills
