Role description
Job Summary: The Principal Data Analyst will lead advanced analytics and data modeling initiatives across Finance, SAP and ETRM systems. This role focuses on designing scalable data models, integration enterprise systems, and delivering high-impact insights to support financial reporting, trading, risk management, and decision-making
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead complex data analysis across finance, trading and risk domain
• Analyze and integrate data from SAP (FI/CO, S/4 HANA) and ETRM platforms
• Design and develop conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Build and optimize data warehouse, data marts and analytical layers
• Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and consistency across SAP, ETRM and finance systems
• Translate business requirements into KPIs, dashboards and analytical solutions
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders; mentor junior data analysts
Qualifications:
Minimum 12+ years of experience in IT industry
Expected Skills:
• Expertise on Data Analysis techniques and processes with strong understanding of
• Data management framework and practices
• Expertise in Data foundation initiatives, like data modelling, data quality, data governance, data maturity assessments and data strategy
• Good understanding of system design, ingestion framework and connection services
• Experience with ETRM systems, and trading/risk data
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP systems and financial data
• Expertise in advanced SQL and advanced Excel
• Strong understanding of Data architecture
• A skilled communicator capable of speaking to both technical developers, architects, and business stake holders
