Role description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support high-impact reporting, analytics, and data-driven operational improvements across multiple program areas. This role requires excellent analytical abilities, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work independently with significant decision-making latitude.
The ideal candidate excels in transforming raw data into actionable insights, developing standardized reports and dashboards, creating data models, analyzing trends, and supporting data requirements across complex initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Transform data into meaningful insights that support business decisions and operational improvements.
• Acquire data from various sources, validate accuracy, and maintain structured, error-free datasets.
• Develop recurring and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using modern reporting tools.
• Build data models (as-is / to-be) to identify efficiency opportunities and operational enhancements.
• Analyze trends, correlations, and performance benchmarks; prepare executive-level analytical reports.
• Interpret data policies and procedures and determine their impact on automated systems.
• Develop metadata, tables, schemas, and user interfaces for clear reporting frameworks.
• Support special projects, priority initiatives, and cross-functional data activities.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data requirements and ensure best-practice standards.
• Work under limited direction with extensive independent judgment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 8+ years researching, gathering, analyzing, and correlating complex data; preparing concise reports.
• 8+ years transforming data into actionable insights and preparing executive-level analytic reports.
• 8+ years developing as-is / to-be data models to support operational efficiency.
• 8+ years mapping data processes, establishing benchmarks, and performing trend/performance analysis.
• 8+ years analyzing data policies and evaluating impact on automated systems and functional areas.
• 8+ years acquiring data, conducting deep trend analysis, and creating structured reporting interfaces.
• 8+ years using reporting tools to build dashboards, visualizations, and high-quality data outputs.
Preferred Skills
• 5+ years creating dashboards, data visualizations, and custom reporting solutions.
• 5+ years developing SDLC documentation—gap analyses, roadmaps, requirements, design docs, test cases.
• 1+ year of State or Federal public-sector experience.
Work Hours & Location
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (excluding state holidays)
• Position is fully on-site
