Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, project management, and business intelligence tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our data-driven initiatives and support the overall business strategy.
Duties
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope within an Agile framework.
Design and implement ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability for analysis.
Utilize programming languages such as R and Python for advanced data manipulation and statistical analysis.
Conduct business analysis to understand operational needs and propose data-driven solutions.
Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
Create database designs and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval from Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other databases.
Document processes using Visio and ensure proper version control of analytics artifacts.
Mentor junior analysts in best practices for data analysis, project management, and tool usage.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role with demonstrated expertise in data analysis skills.
Proficiency in SQL for database querying and manipulation; experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle is preferred.
Familiarity with ETL tools such as Talend or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of analytics tools including Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and VBA for automation tasks.
Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, and Bash (Unix shell) for data processing tasks.
Understanding of database design principles and linked data concepts.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail; ability to communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
