Investment Data Analyst (Contract) | W2 ONLY Contract Type: W2 Contract Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid) Industry: Investment Management Employment Type: W2 Only Strictly No C2C Arrangements Apollo Solutions is partnered with an investment management firm who are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support its investment data platform and front-office data operations. This role is ideal for someone who understands how high-quality investment data underpins portfolio management, research, and trading decisions. You'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of critical investment datasets while working closely with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, data engineering, and technology teams. Responsibilities • Monitor and resolve investment data issues across reference data, market data, pricing, fundamentals, and corporate actions. • Analyse and validate complex corporate actions, ensuring downstream investment systems remain accurate. • Investigate data discrepancies, perform reconciliations, and determine business impact. • Support security master data, instrument identifiers, and cross-reference mappings across multiple data sources. • Build and maintain investment-ready datasets used by research and portfolio management teams. • Partner with engineering teams to improve data quality controls, validation rules, and monitoring processes. • Work with multiple financial market data providers to compare, validate, and enrich investment datasets. • Identify recurring data issues and contribute to long-term process improvements. • Collaborate with investment professionals to ensure data definitions align with real-world investment workflows. Experience • Experience working with investment data within an institutional asset manager, hedge fund, asset owner, or quantitative investment environment. • Strong understanding of security reference data and identifiers such as ISIN, SEDOL, CUSIP, or FIGI. • Hands-on experience managing or analysing corporate actions. • Professional experience using SQL and Python for data analysis and validation. • Familiarity with leading financial data vendors such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, MSCI, ICE, CRSP, Worldscope, IBES, or similar platforms. • Experience developing or supporting data quality, reconciliation, or monitoring processes. • Understanding of investment workflows and how data supports portfolio management, research, or quantitative investing. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex data issues. • Strong communication skills and experience working across business and technology teams. • Experience supporting systematic or quantitative investment strategies. • Exposure to modern data platforms and orchestration tools. • Knowledge of portfolio analytics, factor data, or investment research processes.
