Role description
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, and database management, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects using advanced analytical tools and methodologies. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing comprehensive reports, visualisations, and models that support strategic decision-making across various departments. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, proficiency in a range of data analysis tools, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI to visualise key business metrics. Conduct detailed business analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimisation. Manage end-to-end project delivery within the SDLC framework, ensuring timely and quality outputs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and scripting languages such as VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Python, and R. Assist in database design, optimisation, and management to ensure data integrity and efficiency. Develop and implement data models supporting business intelligence initiatives. Utilise tools such as Visio for process mapping and documentation. Support project management activities by tracking progress, managing timelines, and coordinating resources effectively. Experience Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a minimum of 1 years in a corporate environment. Extensive knowledge of SQL, including writing complex queries for data extraction and analysis. Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI. Strong understanding of business analysis, database design principles, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R • , VBA, and scripting in Bash (Unix shell) • is highly desirable. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent analysis skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
