We are looking for Senior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist for our client in Toronto, ON Job Title: Senior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist Job Location: Toronto, ON Job Type: Contract Job Description: • The Senior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist will lead the design, development, and delivery of analytics and data-driven insights to support evidence-based decision-making. • This role involves building advanced statistical models, developing data solutions on Azure platforms, and collaborating with stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable intelligence that drives business outcomes. Requirement/Must Have: • Proven experience with Azure data tools, including Azure, Databricks, MLflow, and Python. • Strong background in data analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning. • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis of large structured and unstructured datasets. • Experience with data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) for large relational and multi-dimensional data stores. • Experience designing and presenting meaningful data visualizations. • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, R, or SQL. • Familiarity with analytical tools such as PowerPivot, Matlab, SPSS, SAS, or R. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Strong consulting and relationship management abilities with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience: • Minimum experience leading analytics initiatives, managing end-to-end reporting, and delivering datasets. • Demonstrated ability to develop robust statistical and machine learning models. • Experience working with data architects, ETL developers, and functional experts to design data-driven solutions. • Experience building and maintaining pipelines and running inference jobs in Databricks or similar environments. • Experience with modern data and AI ecosystems, preferably within large-scale enterprise or government settings. Responsibilities: • Lead the development and delivery of analytics and reporting to support decision-making. • Work with client groups to assess current capabilities, define requirements, and identify improvement opportunities. • Develop, test, and deploy statistical models and machine learning algorithms. • Execute and monitor inference jobs, troubleshoot issues, and document model performance. • Support DSPy pipelines and evaluation runs using internal metrics. • Prepare, clean, and annotate datasets for inference and evaluation. • Communicate analytical insights through clear visualizations and summaries. • Participate in documentation, development, testing, and end-user training. • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate, unbiased, and useful data models. Should Have: • Awareness of emerging Business Intelligence and AI trends. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. • Strong investigative and logical reasoning skills. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and tracking skills. Skills: • Azure, Databricks, MLflow, Python. • Machine learning, data modeling, and statistical analysis. • ETL development, data visualization, and dashboard creation. • Proficiency with pandas, scikit-learn, or PyTorch. • Familiarity with LLM frameworks such as DSPy, LangChain, or Hugging Face. • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and VBA. Qualification or Education: • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. • Candidates with AI/ML background or entry level candidates in Data Science are acceptable.
