Role description
Senior Data Analytics Engineer
Location: Watford (hybrid 2/3 days per week onsite)
Rate: £400-500pd inside IR35
Contract: Initial 6 month contract with potential extension
We are partnering with a globally recognised entertainment and consumer business to recruit a Senior Data Analytics Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity within a large-scale international analytics function. This role sits within a highly visible reporting and analytics team supporting global business operations. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality data products, developing insightful dashboards and partnering directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable analytics solutions.
Working within a collaborative team of analysts, engineers and business stakeholders, you'll play a key role in supporting both business-as-usual reporting requirements and strategic analytics initiatives.
• Designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
• Gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and translating them into analytical outputs
• Building robust data models and ensuring data quality across reporting solutions
• Working with large-scale datasets within Azure and Databricks environments
• Supporting and enhancing existing reporting infrastructure
• Delivering data products that drive business decision-making
• Presenting insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Supporting ongoing analytics and reporting projects across international teams
Required Experience:
We're looking for a hands-on analytics professional who can work independently and confidently engage with stakeholders across the business.
• Strong SQL skills and advanced Power BI development experience
• Proven experience gathering requirements directly from stakeholders
• Experience working within production data environments
• Experience with Azure Data Lakes and modern cloud-based data platforms
• Ability to take ownership of work from requirements through to delivery
• Strong communication and presentation skills
Desirable Experience
• Experience working with AI or emerging analytics technologies
• Power BI or Azure certifications
• Python experience
• Previous Business Analysis experience
